Dr Jonathan Teo is a Korea fellowship trained consultant urologist practising in
Singapore and was formerly an elected EXCO member of the Society of Men’s Health Singapore. Dr
Teo provides specialised care in men’s health issues (andrology and subfertility), bladder
cancer, kidney cancer, overactive bladder, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Dr Teo is an accredited surgeon at Mount Alvernia Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital
(Novena and Orchard), Gleneagles Hospital, Thomson Medical Centre and Farrer Park Hospital.
Dr Jonathan Teo was formerly a Consultant Urologist and Director of Andrology at the
Singapore General Hospital. He also worked closely with specialists from KKH as a Visiting
Consultant treating couples with subfertility and andrology problems.
He is equipped to perform stone surgeries, kidney and bladder cancer surgeries, and
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) surgeries. His subspecialty areas include:
Dr Jonathan Teo graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore
(NUS) in 2006 and completed his postgraduate surgical degrees from the Royal College of Surgeons of
Edinburgh in 2011 and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow in 2018.
He then completed the Specialist Urology Training under the SingHealth Urology Residency Program.
Subsequently, Dr Teo underwent his subspecialty training in Andrology in Korea, the United Kingdom
and the United States of America.
In 2018, Dr Teo was one of the urologists who was instrumental in setting up the Urology Department
at Sengkang General Hospital when it opened, and continued to work in both Sengkang General Hospital
and Singapore General Hospital until 2020.
During his time at SGH, he served on the SGH Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and Medical Device
Committee and was involved in evaluating cost-effective drugs and medical devices/implants for use
in the hospital. He was also a member of the Medical Device Committee for the Ministry of Health
Singapore.
During his time in the public sector, Dr Teo published many academic articles on BPH treatment and
Andrology. He was a Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of
Singapore, Assistant Adjunct Professor at Duke-NUS graduate medical school, and Clinical Tutor at
the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. He was also a faculty
member of the SingHealth Urology Residency Program and was involved in teaching and training of
Urology residents.
Dr Jonathan Teo enjoys diving and cycling in his free time. He is also active in community work as a grassroot leader in the People’s Association.
